Salmon is a great source of lean protein and healthy fats. Wild salmon is the best choice for this recipe because it is much higher in omega-3 than Atlantic (farmed) salmon.
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp cooking wine
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 lb salmon (split into 4 fillets)
- 2 tsp olive oil
Instructions:
- Put all marinade ingredients in a resealable bag.
- Add the salmon and mix well.
- Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- Remove salmon from the marinade, making sure to reserve the marinade.
- Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- When hot, add oil and swirl it around to coat the pan.
- Add salmon; sear 2 minutes on each side.
- Turn heat to low.
- Add in the reserved marinade.
- Cover and cook for around 4-5 minutes or open the lid after 5 minutes and cook until all liquid is gone.
- Serve with rice and vegetables.
