Salmon is a great source of lean protein and healthy fats. Wild salmon is the best choice for this recipe because it is much higher in omega-3 than Atlantic (farmed) salmon.
Ingredients:
3 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp cooking wine
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 lb salmon (split into 4 fillets)
2 tsp olive oil
Instructions:
Put all marinade ingredients in a resealable bag.
Add the salmon and mix well.
Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
Remove salmon from the marinade, making sure to reserve the marinade.
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat.
When hot, add oil and swirl it around to coat the pan.
Add salmon; sear 2 minutes on each side.
Turn heat to low.
Add in the reserved marinade.
Cover and cook for around 4-5 minutes or open the lid after 5 minutes and cook until all liquid is gone.
