Easy Chicken Bone Broth

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 head garlic
  • 2 stalks celery, roughly chopped
  • 2 carrots, roughly chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, roughly chopped
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 bay leaves
  • ½ cup fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • ÂĽ cup fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon whole peppercorns
  • 2 pounds chicken bones
  • 10 cups filtered water

Method

  1. In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients.
  2. Turn on the cooker and cook the broth on low heat for 12 to 18 hours.
  3. Once the broth is ready, strain it through a colander and transfer it into an airtight jar.
  4. Refrigerate it until ready to use.
