Visual Contrast Sensitivity (VCS) Testing

Visual Contrast Sensitivity (VCS) testing is used as a screening and nonspecific test to see how your eyes have the ability to detect low contrast levels. It presents images with different contrast levels and these results can help alert to a visual system dysfunction. Why is it important to test your visual contrast? Because a positive result could point to a subclinical and underlying process that could be affecting your neurologic pathways, whether it be a biotoxin exposure (mold, lyme, parasites, toxic environment, etc) or nutritional deficiencies. If your results are positive, you should see your provider to figure out what condition could be causing it. Testing takes between 30-60 minutes and all you need is your computer or smart phone. Testing can be purchased at Store.DrLam.com here.
