Dr. Lam: Or even thyroid medications.

Dr. Jeremy: Thatā€™s right. But that can only last for so long. Right, Dr. Carrie?

Dr. Carrie: Yes. Itā€™s like youā€™re giving gas to your car. Youā€™re stepping on the pedal a lot, and so youā€™re stimulating and stimulating, but over time that just burns your engine, and you use a lot more gasoline than you need to.
